PhD Candidate Ian Olasov Premiers “The Owl”, a New Philosophy Podcast

Brooklyn Public Philosophers, the brainchild of PhD candidate Ian Olasov, adds yet another initiative to its array of efforts to “raise awareness of the best work on philosophical questions of interest to Brooklynites, and to provide a civil space where Brooklynites can reason together about the philosophical questions that matter to them.”

In addition to its well-attended talk series at the Brooklyn Public Library (often featuring work by CUNY Philosophy faculty & PhD students), a Philosophy for Kids program, its “Ask a Philosopher” booths at New York City Greenmarkets, Brooklyn Public Philosophers now hosts a podcast called “The Owl”. In the first episode of the podcast, CUNY alumnus Ben Abelson speaks to Sophie Murphy on “Persons and Science Fiction”, and much more! Travis Timmerman (Seton Hall) will be interviewed in the upcoming second episode.
