The Minorities and Philosophy (MAP) chapters of Columbia, The CUNY Graduate Center, NYU, Rutgers, and The New School are excited to invite you to the second of a series of five workshops this Spring semester!

There will be two talks by graduate students or postdocs, followed by a reception with snacks and wine and the opportunity to meet philosophers from the New York area and beyond.

The schedule of the second session (at The New School (6 E 6th, Wolff Conf. Room (1103)) is:

7:00-7:50: Sofia Ortiz-Hinojosa (Vassar), “Virtue Epistemology in Sor Juana”
7:50-8:45: Martin Abreu Zavaleta (NYU), “Communication and Variance”
8:45-9:30: Food & Beverage Reception

NY-MAPWorks is a joint initiative of the NY-area MAP chapters to support and promote the work of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from groups underrepresented in philosophy.
