The Minorities and Philosophy (MAP) chapters of Columbia, The CUNY Graduate Center, NYU, and Rutgers are excited to invite you to the first of a series of three workshops this Spring semester!
There will be two talks by graduate students or postdocs, followed by a reception with snacks and wine and the opportunity to meet philosophers from the New York area and beyond.
The schedule of the first session (at 5 Washington Pl., Room 302) is:
- 6:00-6:50: Eric Bayruns Garcia (CUNY), “Coverage-Reliant Ignorance”
- 6:55-7:45: Hochan Kim (Princeton), “What’s the Point of Reparations?”
- 7:45-8:30: Food & Beverage Reception (6th Floor Lounge)
NY-MAPWorks is a joint initiative of the NY-area MAP chapters to
support and promote the work of graduate students and
postdoctoral fellows working on topics in critical social philosophy and non-canonical areas of philosophy.
