CUNY GC Minorities and Philosophy (MAP) Chapter Meeting

September 29, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

map_logoblueThe CUNY Graduate Center chapter of MAP (Minorities and Philosophy)
will hold its first meeting of the Fall 2016 semester on
Thursday, September 29th at 7pm in the Philosophy Lounge (rm. 7113).
(*Please note that this meeting has been rescheduled to avoid a conflict with a Brooklyn Public Philosophers talk on Sept. 22nd!*)

MAP is a collection of students in English-speaking philosophy departments that aims to examine and address issues of minority participation in academic philosophy. The chapter at the Graduate Center has hosted speaker series, pedagogy discussions, workshops, and graduate degree information sessions, all aimed at making the classroom more hospitable to students from a variety of backgrounds.

First-year students are especially encouraged to attend, to share ideas for new MAP endeavors, and to get involved with ongoing MAP activities.

Hope to see you there!
