The CUNY Social and Political Philosophy Working Group (SPP) serves as a forum for the discussion of works-in-progress from diverse approaches in any area of social and political philosophy or applied ethics, broadly construed. We strive to build a community of scholars in a constructive and supportive environment that facilitates the development of participants’ research. SPP welcomes students and faculty from The Graduate Center, CUNY and from other universities for informal monthly workshops, and the occasional special event. We especially encourage graduate students to participate and submit an abstract.
If you would like to offer a paper-in-progress for discussion at a Fall 2017 SPP workshop, please submit an abstract (no more than 500 words) to firstname.lastname@example.org by September 15, 2017. If we have more submissions than available workshop spaces, we will prioritize submissions based on diversity of approach and overlap with recent workshops. Quality submissions for Fall 2017 that we are unable to include in our schedule will automatically be considered for workshops in future semesters.
