Alumni Day: Colloquium & Events w/Myrto Mylopoulos Weds Dec 3

Our program’s Alumni Day for the Fall 2014 term is next Wednesday, December 3. Recent alumna Myrto Mylopoulos will be our colloquium speaker at 4:15pm in rooms 9204/5; current student Jake Quilty-Dunn will serve as Myrto’s commentator. Before that, students and alumni can join Myrto for lunch in the Dining Commons (Eighth Floor cafeteria) from 1-2pm. Myrto will also hold a job-market consultation office hour at two o’clock in room 7104.

Myrto Mylopoulos received her Ph.D. from the Graduate Center, CUNY in September, 2013. She wrote her dissertation, “The Nature of Agentive Awareness“, under the supervision of Prof. David Rosenthal. Her main philosophical interests lie in philosophy of mind, philosophy of action, and philosophy of cognitive science. She is currently a post-doctoral researcher at the Institut Jean Nicod in Paris, France. Starting in 2015, she’ll be Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Cognitive Science at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
