Carol Gilligan & Virginia Held: The Ethics of Care
Reframing the Conversation about Difference: The Contribution of Care Ethics
On Thursday, February 28, we will be hosting Carol Gilligan (New York University) and Virginia Held (The Graduate Center). Prof. Gilligan will be presenting a talk entitled “Reframing the Conversation about Difference: The Contribution of Care Ethics,” to be followed by commentary for Prof. Held. We are excited to hear from these two distinguished scholars, and hope that you will be able to join us. The talk will be held at 4:15p.m. in the Skylight Room (Room 9100) of The Graduate Center (365 Fifth Ave., New York, NY 10016). We request that you RSVP here.
This event is hosted by the Center for Global Ethics and Politics in year-long partnership with the 2012-13 Mellon Sawyer Seminar at The Graduate Center, CUNY, “Democratic Citizenship and the Recognition of Cultural Differences.”
Our work with the Mellon Sawyer Seminar is continuing to prove engaging and provocative. Audio downloads and streaming video from our events is available here, and a full schedule of our Spring Semester events is available here.
